“Travels to a Distant Epoch, Kemit's Golden Age”
نویسنده
چکیده
The author documents astonishing scientific accomplishments of Egypt and offers a glimpse of this science. The author begins the discussion by revealing the significance of the Ankh as a spiritual icon and symbolically, the highest representation of life. A more stylized version is seen today in Christianity, but the Ankh, the original cross, was/is considered an important "key" with electromagnetic properties.

Effects of aging on sleep in the golden hamster.
The golden hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) has been a model organism for the study of circadian rhythmicity and, in particular, the effects of age on the circadian system. Surprisingly, nothing is known about the effects of advanced age on sleep in this species. As a first step in determining the effects of aging on sleep in the golden hamster, we recorded sleep for 24 hours in 12 young (3 month...
متن کاملPharmacological Agents in Post Stroke Recovery
The injury, repair and recovery after stroke have been extensively defined. The first epoch is related to acute injury and takes place in the first initial hours after stroke when changes in blood flow, edema, metabolism rate and diaschisis occurs. A second epoch is related to repair, which starts days after stroke and lasts for several weeks and is referred to as endogenous repair suggesting a...
متن کاملDisentangling the Complex Broadband X-ray Spectrum of IRAS13197-1627 with NuSTAR, XMM-Newton and Suzaku
We present results from a coordinated XMM-Newton+NuSTAR observation of the type 1.8 Seyfert galaxy IRAS 13197-1627. This is a highly complex source, with strong contributions from relativistic reflection from the inner accretion disk, neutral absorption and further reprocessing by more distant material, and ionised absorption from an outflow. We undertake a detailed spectral analysis combining ...
متن کاملThe reproductive biology of golden barb (Barbus luteus Heckel, 1843) in Maroon River, Iran
Golden barb (Barbus luteus) is one of the species in south and southwest of Iran which is greatly favorable to residents of the region. Unfavorable ecological conditions in habitat of this species and overfishing have led to reduction of the population of golden barb. Therefore, to restore the natural stock of this species, identifying its reproductive cycle associated with its habitat is of a ...
متن کاملIbn al-Nafis, the pulmonary circulation, and the Islamic Golden Age.
Ibn al-Nafis (1213-1288) was an Arab physician who made several important contributions to the early knowledge of the pulmonary circulation. He was the first person to challenge the long-held contention of the Galen School that blood could pass through the cardiac interventricular septum, and in keeping with this he believed that all the blood that reached the left ventricle passed through the ...
